Optimise Media launches new .com to position global growth
Optimise, the online performance marketing firm has today launched a new corporate site, to more clearly position it’s global growth and improved product offering.
Optimise, the Partner Marketing Platform and Affiliate Network was originally a Norwich-based, UK-only company, founded in 1999. The company provides affiliate, partner and rewards marketing programmes for major brands in the retail, travel and finance sectors, including Aviva, HSBC, Go.Compare and many more. Now much of its revenue now comes from operations outside the UK, as the firm has established offices in locations worldwide including Australia, India, Singapore and Hong Kong, each with its own team and MD, plus a global team based in Kerala, south-west India. The most recent Optimise branch opened in Egypt in 2021, bringing the size of the team to a total of 180 people worldwide. Executive Chairman Richard Syme explains;
‘It was important to launch the new site to clearly demonstrate the global proposition Optimise has. We now have over 10 branches overseas, with our presence spread throughout strategic regions including southeast Asia and MENA, where we have more offices than any other player in the marketplace,’ says Richard. ‘Many of our clients really appreciate our ability to serve them across multiple regions with and
operations. Over the next five to 10 years, we want to keep investing in the areas where we’re already strong to break through £100m group turnover and beyond.’
The firm achieved record turnover in 2022, with sales reaching £64m for a gross profit of £9m and overseas sales accounting for around 60% of group profit.
What is the secret of Optimise’s success overseas? ‘One of the main factors was transferring what we’d learned in the UK market as an early entrant to the ecommerce world,’ explains Richard. ‘While the US and UK were quick to adopt that technology, other world regions have been a little slower. So, we were able to enter those markets first and benefit from the future growth that we knew was on the way.’
So far, 2023 has been an excellent year for Optimise, with the launch of the new site coming off the back winning three vital categories at the prestigious Performance Marketing Awards (PMAs). The firm won Best Managed Campaign for Go.Compare, Best Finance Campaign for HSBC Group UK (which incorporates the HSBC, M&S Bank and First Direct brands) and Best Programme Launch or Migration for AVIVA Life.
Now in their 17th year, the PMAs are the performance marketing equivalent of the Oscars. The awards recognise the very best companies and campaigns in performance marketing today, as judged by a panel of experts from throughout the industry.
‘We’re delighted with these wins because they highlight three crucial stages of a programme’s life cycle,’ says Leanne Hardy, UK Managing Director. ‘First, migrating to join our network is a time when things can easily go wrong, so the Best Migration award shows we can handle that tricky process without a hitch. Once a client is up and running, they want their campaign to be in safe hands, and the Best Managed award confirms the quality of our service. Finally, the Best Finance Campaign award underlines our expertise in in this sector in the UK and shows that we have the technical platform and innovation capability to meet the needs of this discerning client group.’
