IAB Publisher Standards Charter
IAB Publisher Standards Charter
As an active member of the IAB Affiliate Marketing Council and Legislation & Standards Committee, in partnership with industry colleagues, Optimise has contributed to the creation of the Publisher Standards Charter.
In releasing the PSC the IAB stated;
“Importantly, the PSC sets out to outline the key practices that Publishers should adopt when promoting advertisers or working with advertisers’ affiliate marketing networks or media agencies. The Charter highlights best practice within four key areas that are designed to make affiliate marketing campaigns safe for brands and predictable to manage. These are:
  • Key features of the Publisher / Advertiser relationship.
  • A Publisher’s duty to the public.
  • How Publishers should deal with Affiliate Marketing Networks and Advertisers.
  • Technical practices.”
Optimise are keen to focus on maintaining standards within our constantly shifting digital landscapes which can only serve to maintain and increase confidence in our channel. Whilst we also formalise our own networks and program specific terms with affiliates as standard practice we encourage you to make time to read the PSC which we believe effectively encapsulates the principles underpinning the standards within the industry.
